The Consultation

The first meeting you, as a prospective patient, will have with Dr. Humphreys is most important. During this meeting your perceptions and feelings about your anticipated surgery will be discussed in detail. An examination and then a frank discussion about possible plastic surgical solutions to your problem will follow. At this point, also, you will be told in detail about the potential risks and benefits involved.

Frequently, a second consultation may be beneficial and may clarify further or answer new questions. If surgery is scheduled, a complete medical history will be taken from you. Clinical photographs showing the condition before and after surgery will be taken. These photographs serve as an important part of the permanent plastic surgical record. Dr. Humphreys may request further information from you at this time.
